Summary:

Flashes are one of the essential parts in the camera that must either have a plug on it or not. Nowadays almost no camera would be found without a flash that plugs in because without light photos will not look beautiful. Even if the flash is there we must use it and control it correctly, because if we do not use it in a good way the photos will look bad, and if we use it correctly the result will look as terrific as we want. Flashes are used in either indoor or outdoor places, because there is a misconception about using it indoor only. We can get a lot of benefits if we use flashes in outdoor places, such as separating your subject from the background, removing shadows and lighting up the dark places, illuminating the red eye problem and letting the colors appear in the right tone. If we want to use the flash we need to set on the flash mode, because some cameras will not let the flash start by itself when the camera feels that the place’s light is enough and there is no need to use the flash. Flashes are important, because without them the subject will not be seen if the place does not have enough light in it or is actually in a dark place. Despite the advantages of having the flash plug into the camera, this flash will only fire in one direction and because of that the pictures in some parts will have light and in others shadow. Using the filter is the only solution for the problem of having a flash that only fires in one direction. To make the flash have a long wide distance, you must change the ISO setting. If you need a small amount of light to came in the lens, you must raise the ISO and the opposite will be true. Also there are a lot of accessories that help in these situations, but every camera has it own accessories, so some cameras do not have this advantage. At the end the author advised the readers, and said, “pay attention to how your digital photographs are lit, and you'll end up with photos worth keeping and sharing.”

Reaction:

At first, I have only a flash that plugged into my camera and I wish to have a separate flash, because I want more light that will cover the whole subject that I want to capture. Also, I recommend the separate flash because of the advantages of having a separate flash. One of the most important reasons to have a separate flash is that the plugged in one has more limited advantages than the separate flash. It is great to have a flash that is suited to our needs and specialty. I know that each type of photography has it own flash, so every photographer must choose the flash well. This article makes me think about buying a separate flash to get better result that the original one.
